Dan Wolf employs the rhythmic toolbox of hip-hop culture
to infuse musical and theatrical performances with
an entirely new energy, urgency, and relevance.

Echoes (Four Women) pays homage to the spirit of four holocaust survivors - Emmie Arbel, Selma van de Perre, Judit Varga, and Batsheva Dagan - who were all imprisoned at Ravensbrück concentration camp.

The song features vocals from GRAMMY winner Tommy Soulati Shepherd of the Alphabet Rockers with music by composer Ken Primo aka Keith Pinto.

“Currency” smashes open The Merchant of Venice and places Shylock at the center of our world, not as a caricature but instead as a reflection of the immigrant, working class, citizens of our port cities. From the marketplaces of West Oakland, Hong Kong, Managua, Downtown LA, and Venice, Currency explores the transactional relationships with those who come to buy our goods, our bodies, and our cultures.

Sound in the Silence is a historical education project that uses art workshops on-site where history happened as a prompt for the creation of new performance work and the intergenerational connection of people and cultures.

Since 2011 we have worked with artists, students, teachers, and educators on-site at Neuengamme (Germany), Borne Solinowo (Poland), Gdansk/Stutthof (Poland), Auschwitz/Zilina (Poland/Slovakia), Ravensbrück (Germany), Warsaw (Poland), and Bunker Valentine (Germany).

Dan Wolf battles a pushy passenger who’s constantly trying to fight his way to the front of his ego on DYSCOMFYTURE (Cut It Out) the third single from the c a n t o s EP - Bay Area Theatre Cypher’s very first EP.

Originally part of a tri-company theatrical collaboration between BATC, Cutting Ball Theater, and Mugwumpin, c a n t o s takes inspiration from the form and function of Victorian author Lewis Carroll’s lesser known work The Phantasmagoria, and takes listeners on a journey through the minds of four MCs grappling with identity, mortality, and internal conflict.

Blood and Bones, Skin and Scars

“Blood and Bones, Skin and Scars”, is a fearless exploration and expression of the core themes - creativity, community, vulnerability, legacy, activism, self-knowledge, family - resonating in my life.
