Sound in the Silence is an interdisciplinary performance project for high school students that centers on historical education. Each edition focuses on a specific location of 20th-century history . September 6 - 12, 2015 the project will focus on Gdansk - the shipyard where the Germans attacked to start WW2 and where the Solidarity movement started in the late 1980s. The students are introduced to each other’s culture, history, and identity. Through performance they express how the area has changed their understanding of their place in history.
